Attraction: Oriental Pearl TV Tower
The Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower is a Shanghai TV Tower. Its position is at Lujiazui’s tip in the Pudong New Area by Huangpu River’s edge, opposite The Bund, makes it a distinct landmark in the area. Jiang Huan Chen, Lin Benlin and Zhang Xiulin were its principal designers. Construction started in 1991, and ended in 1994. At a height of 468 m, it was the tallest structure in China from 1994–2007, when the Shanghai World Financial Center surpassed it.
