Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa located in southwestern Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field near Grindavík, along with a mountain named Þorbjörn, both of which are situated on Reykjanes Peninsula, which is ideal for geothermal power generation. Water is brought to the spa from the Svartsengi geothermal power station, which is located near the facility. Keflavík International Airport is approximately 20 km (12 mi) from the Blue Lagoon, and it is one of the most popular attractions in Iceland.
