Althing Parliament

The Althing Parliament is the national parliament of Iceland. It is the oldest surviving parliament in the world besides one located in England. The Althing, which was founded in 930 at Þingvellir, was established approximately 45 kilometres east of Reykjavík, which was the country’s capital following its establishment.
