Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Located in downtown Toronto, Canada, in the southeast of the renowned CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium is the biggest aquarium in Canada with 15,000 gallons of marine and freshwater habitats.

The aquarium is split into nine walks: the Canadian Waters, the Rainbow Reef, the Dangerous Lagoon, the Discovery Center, the Gallery, the Ray Bay, the Planet Jelly, the Life Support System and the Shoreline Gallery.

The Canadian Waters focuses among these walks on the numerous beautiful species found around Canada and the Great Lakes, such as Largemouth Bass, Wolf Eel, Giant Pacific Octopus, and China Rockfish. Planet Jelly provides tourists with an opportunity to see beautiful and colourful jellyfish, including the Pacific Sea Nettle, Moon Jelly, and Spotted Lagoon Jelly.

The Dangerous Lagoon is an exhibit that must be seen! You can navigate the underwater domain filled with Sand Tiger Sharks, Roughtail Stingrays, and Green Sawfish, consisting of a single tunnel in the aquarium!

There are a variety of opportunities in the Discovery Center to see the animals in close proximity, such as underwater viewing bubble, a pop-up “research submarine” bubble that allows you to see in the Danger Lagoon, and even a special touch pool that allows visitors to touch living fossils. Clownfish, Palatte Surgeonfish, Horseshoe Crabs and more can be seen here!
